World’s Youngest Grandma is 23 Yrs.

Romanian gypsy, Rifca Stanescu became the world’s youngest grandma. Rifca, the mom of two gave birth to her first child Maria at the age of 12.

She urged her daughter not to follow her example but Maria gave birth to son Ion while only 11.

Rifca had married Ionel Stanescu, a jeweller when she was 11 and he was just 13.

The two then young kids eloped because Rifca was afraid her father wanted her to marry another village boy in Investi, Romania. She was forgiven when she had her daughter – making her mother also Maria, a great-grandmother at 40.

Her son Nicolae was born a year later. The young mom later tried to persuade Maria to stay at school.

But Maria left to wed when she was just ten and had her baby six months later.
